A personally inscribed and signed first edition, first printing of The Editor: How Publishing Legend Judith Jones Shaped Culture in America by Sara B. Franklin.

Judith Jones was one of the most consequential American book editors of the twentieth century. Her extraordinary career touched authors and works ranging from Anne Frank to Julia Child and Edna Lewis, influencing American literature, cooking, publishing, and cultural life. Drawing upon extensive research, interviews, and archival sources, Sara B. Franklin restores Jones to her rightful place in publishing history.

This copy bears a warm, multi-line presentation inscription from Franklin to “Kate,” concluding with the author’s signature. The inscription is prominently displayed on the title page and is shown in the accompanying photographs. The identity of the recipient has not been established.
