An uncommon first-edition, first-printing copy of John Greenewald Jr.'s Beyond UFO Secrecy: The Story of “The Black Vault’s” Pursuit of the Truth, published by The Black Vault in 2002.

Greenewald began researching UFOs and government secrecy while still a teenager, using the Freedom of Information Act to obtain government records concerning unexplained aerial phenomena. Beyond UFO Secrecy grew out of those investigations and combines discussion of UFO cases with reproductions and analysis of government documentation and an introduction to using FOIA for independent research.

The book represents an early stage in Greenewald's development of The Black Vault, the large online archive of declassified government documents for which he later became widely known. Contemporary coverage described the book as drawing on formerly classified government documents obtained through Greenewald's research.

This copy is particularly desirable as the copyright page explicitly states “First Edition – First Printing 2002.”
